Worther L. England

On June 15, 2012, Worther Lee (Buddy) England of Slab Fork entered into Heaven's gates. Born April 30, 1934 at Corinne, he was one of eight children born to Worther England and Mae Church England. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Mullens and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Nina Cook, Ilene Cook, Elleen Dickerson, Verna Morris and Carol McClung. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Pat (Beverly) England; his special baby, Princess; one sister, Connie England of Beckley; and one brother, Bill England and his wife, Jean, of Chesapeake, VA. Services will be 12 Noon, Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry England and Rev. Dalley Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by the Wyoming County Honor Guard. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The Tankersley Funeral Home is privileged to serve the England Family.
