Willard L. Lester

February 8, 1950 - November 27, 2015

Willard Lee Lester, 65, of Mullens formerly of Bud Mountain passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born February 8, 1950 in Rainelle, he was the son of the late Willard Lee Lester, Sr. and Bernice (Ballengee) Lester. Willard spent many years as a coal truck driver and a former mechanic at Davis Auto. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam Era. In his leisure he enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one brother, Carlos Lester. Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Shani Lowery and her husband, William of Bud Mountain; a son, Rueben Lee Lester of Parkersburg; and four grandchildren, Austin Lowery and Ty Lowery both of Bud Mountain and Aiden Kirby-Lester and Harmony Kirby- Lester both of Parkersburg. Services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel, Mullens with Rev. Carl Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Belle-Colbird Cemetery, Bud Mountain. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
