Virginia F. Lusk

December 26, 1939 - January 9, 2016

Virginia Faye Lusk, 76, of Lusk Settlement went home to be with her Lord on January 9, 2016 at her residence following a long illness. Born December 26, 1939 at Egeria, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Robertson and Maudie (Cline) Robertson Lusk. Virginia was a homemaker and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Basin Freewill Baptist Church and attended the Lighthouse Community in Egeria. In her leisure she enjoyed singing, gardening, planting flowers, camping, and especially spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lusk; three sons, Cecil Andrew Lusk, Charles Anthony Lusk, and Joseph Allen Lusk; three grandsons, Franklin Scott Bailey, J.R. Lusk, and Steven Lusk; two brothers, Charlie Robertson and Ralph Robertson; and two sisters, Opal Reed and Alma Reed. Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Barbara Kay Foley and her husband, David of Lusk Settlement, Herndon, Rebecca Jane Combs and her husband, Eightball of Fayetteville, and Drema Lynn Bailey and her husband, Franklin of Basin; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and one great- great grandchild, Chase Lester of Basin. Services will be 12 Noon, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Lighthouse Community, Egeria with Pastor Arthur Dangerfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Lusk Cemetery, Lusk Settlement, Herndon. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers will be Joseph Hall, Duane Bishop, Eightball, Davey Foley, Billy Foley, Amos Robertson, Dave Bishop, and Austin Stover.
