Shirley Ann Flaim

Shirley Ann (Cook) Flaim, 84, of Corinne received her Heavenly reward on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House. Born September 11, 1935 at Otsego, she was the daughter of the late James Ervin and Demia Lue (Dixon) Cook. Shirley was a homemaker, member of the Mullens Wesleyan Church, and most recently The Made New Church. In her leisure she enjoyed traveling, playing cards, especially reading her Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Flaim; daughter, Tina McGlothlin; son-in-law, Gene McGlothlin; grandson, Kyle R. McGlothlin; three brothers; and three sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Anthony R. Flaim and his wife, Donna of Pineville, Robert E. Flaim of Corinne, and Gerald Buck Flaim of Corinne; three grandsons, Aaron, Nathan and his wife, Jenny, and Kevin and his wife, Val; two granddaughters, Heather and Mia; and two great grandchildren, Leo and Josie. In accordance and recommendations from the CDC, services will be held privately on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 with Pastor Darrell Thornton officiating and burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
