Rebecca Louvicie Shrewsberry-Smith

February 8, 1934 - October 7, 2020

Rebecca Louvicie Shrewsberry-Smith, 86, of Barkers Ridge passed away peacefully at her home on October 7, 2020. She was born February 8, 1934 at Allen Junction, she was the daughter of the late William Alan and Cora (Rose) Shrewsberry. Rebecca spent her whole life loving and caring for her family, friends, and strangers. She loved the Lord and his word with all her heart. She was a woman of Christ. Rebecca was the prime example of what any wife, mother, woman, sister, and Christian should be. If we could adequately describe her, she was a virtuous woman who truly embodied every trait described in Proverbs 31. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her two children, Robert Smith and Kathryn Casson; her sisters, Margie, Dorsey, Louise, and Doritha; and her brothers, Ed, Boyd, Robert, Herman, Herbert, and Ward Shrewsberry. Those left to cherish her memory include her eight children, Jammie (Kenneth) Shrewsberry, Elaine (Jack) Shrewsberry, Michelle Leckrone, Chanda Smith, Clark Smith, Norman Smith, Terry (Lottie) Smith, and Karen LeDonne; her siblings, Earl (Naoma) Shrewsbury and Abner (Shearby) Shrewsbury; Thirty-five grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; her oldest grandchild, Jennifer Stanley and her youngest great great grandchild, Emma Smith. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the Mountaineer Baptist Church, 4550 Barkers Ridge Sand Gap Road, Stephenson, WV, with Mr. Yancy Taber officiating. Burial will follow in the Jack Shrewsbury Cemetery, Barkers Ridge. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Sunday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
