Marjorie S. Carte

July 16, 1922 - April 30, 2009

Marjorie Sue Coleman Carte, 86, of Itmann died Thursday, April 30, 2009 in a Beckley Hospital following a long illness. Born July 16, 1922 at Glen Wilton Va., she was the daughter of the late Emmett Wayne and Vennie Burge Coleman. Mrs. Carte was a homemaker, a former clerk for Itmann Company Store, and an active and long time member and former treasurer of Itmann United Methodist Church where she was a member of The United Methodist Women. At the time of her death, Margie was the longest residing resident of Itmann where she had lived since 1930. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Carte, Sr.; a son, Harold H. "Butch" Carte, Jr.; a son-in-law Sante "Sonny" Boninsegna; and two sisters, Cecile Dobbins and Shirley Goins. Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters; Sandra Boninsegna of Pineville and Peggy Tracy of Columbus, OH; one sister, Dorothy "Dot" Bradbury of Mullens; seven grand children, Sante Boninsegna, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Pineville, Angie Boninsegna of Pineville, Chad Carte and his wife, Michelle, of Nitro, Todd Carte and his wife, Trina, of Mullens, Vicki Walden of Grove City, OH, Cindi Brent and her husband, Wohrle, of Galloway, OH and Jennifer Tracy of Hilliard, OH; eleven great grand children; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Monday Carte, of Mullens. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Itmann United Methodist Church, Itmann with the Rev. Gerald Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens, W.Va.
