Lola Rebecca Bailey

December 7, 1934 - November 9, 2011

Lolaray "Lola" Rebecca Bailey, 76, of Mullens passed from this earth on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Jackie Withrow Hospital, Beckley after a long battle with alzheimer's. Born December 7, 1934 in Rutherwookd, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rayburn and Deulah Lewis Michael. Lola was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mullens where she served as an Elder, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. Lola was a former employee of GC Murphy, Clark Stores, Wyoming County Courthouse, and Wyoming General Hospital and was a local beautician. She enjoyed many outdoor and community activities with her husband, including church circle, Bible studies, Lion's Club, square dancing, and Masonic events. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Michael, and a sister, Billy Christian, and her husband, Roy. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronnie Bailey; a daughter, Debbie Taylor; a son, Ron Bailey; a grandson, Casey Casdorph and a bother, David Michae,l and his wife, Patty. Services will be 12 Noon, Monday, November 14, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church, Mullens with Rev. Tracy French officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Officers of the Mullens Police Department will serve as pallbearers.
