JoAnn Rezzonico

July 3, 1928 - September 19, 2014

Margaret JoAnn Rezzonico, 86, of Mullens passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Bowers Hospice House following a long illness. Born July 3, 1928 in Stotesbury she was the daughter of the late George Barker and Brida Shumate Barker. JoAnn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Mullens. She was a 1946 graduate of Mullens High School where she was the Valedictorian and a 1950 graduate of Mountain State Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Charleston receiving her RN Degree. She worked for Dr. George Fordham, Wyoming General Hospital, Wyoming County Health Department, and retired from Wyoming County Vocational School as a nursing instructor in 1988. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bill" Rezzonico; two sisters, Helen Marie Rinehart and Mary Maxine Morgan; and four brothers, William Edward Barker, Russell Lewis Barker, James Robert Barker, and George Thomas Barker, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include, a son, William Enrico (Rick) Rezzonico and his wife, Lea of Mullens; a daughter, Ann Michele Rezzonico Toler of Mullens; a sister, Hilda Irene Barker Keatley; and three grandchildren, William Nicholas Rezzonico, Kealy Michele Toler Breton and her husband, Justin Bo Breton; Amy Nicole Toler and her fiancé, Nicholas Vucurevich; a special niece, Sharon Patton who has been at her side throughout her illness; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Services will be 12 Noon, Monday, September 22, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church, Terry Street, Mullens with Rev. Lewis Arnold and Father Jack Reich officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be Nick Rezzonico, Justin Breton, Nick Vucurevich, Jeff Bailey, Bob Toler, and John Campbell.
