Jack Hampton Lambert

Jack Hampton Lambert, 86, of Covel, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Beckley VA Medical Center following a long illness. Born October 18, 1931 at Bud, he was the son of the late Elmer and Eliza (Ramsey) Lambert. Jack was a former coal miner, having last worked for Eastern Associated, Herndon and was a member of UMWA. He served as Sargent in the U.S. Army. Jack is the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Holliday, Jeanette Hedrick, Mary Wiley, and Beulah Troxel; and eight brothers, Buel Troxel, Verney Morgan, Fred Lambert, Hubert Lambert, Joe Lambert, Mack Lambert, Douglas Lambert, Donnie Lambert, and Bernard Lambert. Services will be 12 Noon, Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Garwood Church of God, Garwood with Rev. Ricky Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Princeton. Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tankersleyfh.com.
