Dvon Duncan

January 18, 1953 - July 7, 2019

Dvon Duncan, 66, has left her earthly body, and is now walking with The Lord in Heaven. She passed suddenly on Sunday July 7, 2019. Dvon worked diligently throughout the states of Tennessee and West Virginia bettering communities, and was an active member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church. Dvon was born in Mullens, West Virginia on January 18, 1953. She graduated from Glen Rogers High School in 1970, and enlisted in the Air Force shortly after. Dvon retired as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force after 20 years of service to her country. She furthered her education by going to several universities across the US. Dvon left behind many family members who will love and cherish the memories of her forever. Among them are her daughter, Amanda Fulk; her mother, Dorothy Lafferty; her brothers, Ken and Gail Duncan, Brett and Shannan Duncan, and John and Linda Lafferty; her sisters, Evelyn Stambaugh and Donna Lafferty; her many nieces and nephews, Chelsea Duncan, Destiny Massey, Julia Lafferty, Blayne Hill, Jared and Lesley Fullam, Jordan Fullam, Josh Fullam, Hannah Stambaugh, Andrew Stambaugh, Roy Duncan, Tiffany Duncan, and Beth England. Family members who preceded her death are her father, Paul Moses Duncan; her stepfather, John Lewis Lafferty; and her brother-in-law, Kevin Stambaugh. Services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church, Mullens with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Ravencliff. Friends may call from 6:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tankersleyfh.com.
