David Allen Fann, 75, of Amigo passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Born November 1, 1940 at Covel, WV, he was the son of the late Stokley Fann and Beulah (Hylton) Fann Bolton. Dave was self-employed; he was involved in the building and remodeling of various projects in Wyoming County, including construction of his own home. In his leisure he enjoyed Bluegrass music, reading, fishing, gardening, and he especially loved Christmas time where he was known for collecting toys and distributing treat bags to children in Amigo. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, a graduate of Bluefield State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one grandson, Adrian Carr; one sister, Margaret Johnson, two brothers, Robert E. and Ernest Fann; and his beloved dog, Puggie. Those left to cherish his memory include his three daughters, Dana Fann of Beckley, Dara Fann of Corinne, and Diana Mills and her husband, Sam of Basin; his former wife, Donna Fann with whom he resided; three grandchildren, Kaden Bryce Fann-Orren, Adriana Lea Fann, and Eric Hunter Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 12 noon, Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens with Rev. Gilbert Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Honor Guard. The family requests donations of sympathy be made in Dave's memory to the Beckley VA Medical Center 200 Veterans Avenue Beckley, WV 25801 or the Wyoming County Toy Fund in C/O of First Peoples Bank P.O.
