Carolyn Sue Shrewsbury

Carolyn Sue Shrewsbury, 74, of Alpoca, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence. Born March 21, 1946, at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Vaught and May Elizabeth (Brammer) Vaught McBride. Carolyn was a retired employee from the U.S. Postal Service having worked at the Itmann Post Office. In her leisure she enjoyed crafts especially crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her brother, Mokey Vaught and sister, Delores Vaught. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John F. Shrewsbury; one son, Charles E. “Eddie” Simmons and his wife, Rhonda of Itmann; two grandchildren, Jeremy Matthews and Megan Jones; four great grandchildren, Kylee and Makenna Matthews, Riley Jones, and Charlie Williams; one sister, Debbie Jones and her husband, Tom of Somerset, PA; one brother, Jody Clowers and his wife Lynn of Smith Mountain Lake; and a host of family and friends.
