Betty Jean "Blanche" Hash, 84, of Mullens, died Monday, January 4, 2010 in a Charleston hospital following a long illness. Born March 30, 1925 at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Anna Mae Grooms Gragg. Blanche was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of Mullens, and a graduate of Mullens High School. She was a former employee of G.C. Murphy, Co., Stone and Cook, an 18 year employee of Jones & Spry IGA, and her last employment was a former manager of the Mullens Little General. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Everett Hash; a son-in-law, Kent Bowling; a brother, Earl Gragg; and an infant sibling. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lynna Jo Bowling of Itmann; and two special grandchildren, Christopher and Kelly Bowling, of Itmann. Graveside services and burial will be 1:00PM Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B, Beckley, with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
